Navigation: Serve → Song Library
The Song Library has been relocated to the Serve module. Navigating to Gather → Songs automatically redirects to Serve → Song Library.
Overview
The Song Library is a comprehensive catalog of worship songs used by your church. It supports chord charts with transposition, multiple arrangements per song, CCLI number tracking, usage statistics, and genre/theme categorisation. Worship leaders use this page to prepare chord sheets, review song keys, and manage their song repertoire.
While the Song Library lives in the Serve module, it integrates with the Gather module's Order of Service editor when adding worship items to a service plan.
Fields & Controls
Song List

| Search | Text input | Search songs by title, artist, or CCLI number. |
| Genre Filter | Filter chips | Filter by genre: All, Worship, Praise, Hymn, Christmas. |
| Song Title | Display | The title of the song. |
| Artist / Author | Display | The original artist or author of the song. |
| Default Key | Badge | The default key of the song (e.g., "G", "Bb"). Colour-coded by key. |
| BPM | Display | Beats per minute / tempo of the song. |
| Tempo Label | Display | Human-readable tempo classification (e.g., "Moderate", "Fast"). |
| Time Signature | Display | The time signature (e.g., "4/4", "6/8"). |
| CCLI Number | Display | The CCLI song number for licensing compliance. |
| Usage Count | Display | How many times the song has been used in services. |
| Last Used | Display | The date the song was last used in a service. |
| Tags / Themes | Badges | Categorisation tags and worship themes assigned to the song. |
| Arrangement Count | Display | Number of arrangements available for the song. |
Song Detail Panel

| Chord Sheet | Display | The chord chart rendered in ChordPro format with chord annotations above lyrics. Supports standard and Nashville notation. |
| Key Transpose Controls | Controls | Change the display key and capo position. The chord chart updates in real-time with transposed chords. |
| Notation Toggle | Tab bar | Switch between standard notation (letter chords) and Nashville number system. |
| View Mode Toggle | Tab bar | Switch between chord sheet (chords + lyrics) and lyrics-only views. |
| Key Circle Picker | Visual control | A circle of fifths visual picker for selecting the display key. |
| Arrangements | List | Multiple arrangements per song, each with its own chord charts in different keys. |
| Usage KPIs | Display | Total uses, uses this year, uses this month. |
| Recent Usage | List | Recent services where the song was used, with the key that was played. |
| Team Notes | Textarea | Free-form notes field for the worship team. |
| YouTube URL | Link | Link to a YouTube reference video for the song. |
| Tap Tempo | Interactive | Tap repeatedly to calculate the BPM of a song by measuring the interval between taps. |
Actions
Add a New Song
- Click the Add Song button
- Enter the song title, artist, default key, BPM, time signature, and CCLI number
- Add genre tags and themes
- Optionally add a chord chart in ChordPro format
- Save the song to the library
Transpose a Chord Chart
- Select a song from the list to open its detail panel
- Use the key transpose controls to change the display key
- Adjust the capo position as needed
- The chord chart updates in real-time without saving — transposition is a display-only operation
Edit a Song
Click the Edit button on a song's detail panel to modify its metadata, lyrics, or chord charts.
Archive a Song
Songs can be archived to hide them from the main list without deleting them. Archived songs are still searchable.
