Navigation: Gather → Dashboard
The dashboard is the default landing page when you open the Gather module.
Overview
The Gather Dashboard provides a real-time overview of your church's attendance and check-in activity for the current week. It displays key performance indicators (KPIs), this week's service schedule with live status, a 12-week attendance trend chart, absence alerts, and campus breakdowns. Use it as your “command centre” on Sunday mornings or during the week to monitor church health at a glance.
Mode Toggle
The dashboard supports two viewing modes, controlled by the toggle in the page header:
- Overview — The full dashboard with trend charts, campus breakdowns, and all KPI cards. Best for weekly review and planning.
- Sunday Mode — A streamlined view focused on today's services, live check-in status, and absence alerts. Best for use during Sunday morning services.
Your mode preference is saved in local storage and persists across sessions.
Fields & Controls
KPI Cards
| Field | Type | Description |

| This Sunday | KPI card | Total headcount for this week's Sunday services (combined all service times). Shows the week-over-week percentage change compared to last Sunday. |
| 4-Week Average | KPI card | Average weekly headcount across the last 4 weeks. Displays the percentage change compared to the previous 4-week period. |
| Absence Alerts | KPI card | Count of active absence alerts — members who have missed 2 or more consecutive Sundays. Clicking navigates to the Alerts page. |
| First-Time Visitors | KPI card | Number of first-time visitors checked in this Sunday. Shows how many are flagged for follow-up. |
This Week's Services
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Day/Date | Display | The day of the week (e.g., SUN) and date number for each service. |
| Service Name | Display | The name of the service (e.g., Sunday Morning). Derived from the service pattern name. |
| Status Chip | Badge | Live (red pulsing dot), Check-in Open (amber), Complete (green), or Scheduled (gray). |
| Campus | Display | The campus where the service is held. |
| Headcount | Display | Current headcount for completed or active services. Shows a dash for scheduled services. |
| Open Console / View Record | Button | For active services: opens the check-in console. For completed services: navigates to the service record detail page. |
12-Week Attendance Trend

| Bar Chart | Chart | Side-by-side bars showing this year (amber) and last year (gold) weekly headcounts for the last 12 weeks. |
| Week Labels | Display | Abbreviated week labels along the bottom axis. |
| 12-Week Average | Stat | Average weekly attendance across the displayed 12-week period. |
| YoY Growth | Stat | Year-over-year percentage growth comparing this year's 12-week average to the same period last year. |
| Best Week | Stat | The week with the highest attendance in the current 12-week window. |
| Full Report Link | Link | Navigates to the full Attendance Reports page for deeper analysis. |
Sunday Morning Banner

| Banner Message | Display | A context-aware greeting showing today's services and their check-in status. Includes quick-launch buttons to open the check-in console for each active service. |
| Dismiss | Button | Hides the banner for the current session. |
Actions
Start Check-in
- Click the Start Check-in button in the page header
- If a service is already scheduled for today, it will be materialised and you will be redirected to the check-in console
- If no service is found, you will be redirected to the Check-In Service Picker to select or create one
Export
Click the Export button to print the current dashboard view using the browser's print function.
Navigate to a Service
- Click any service row in the “This Week's Services” section
- Active services open the check-in console
- Completed services navigate to the service record detail page
- Scheduled services navigate to the check-in console for that instance
