CareThe Life Events page tracks milestones in your congregation — birthdays, wedding anniversaries, baptism anniversaries, membership anniversaries, and salvation dates. A nightly background job automatically scans member records to surface upcoming milestones, and your team can send greetings directly from the interface.

Overview
The page displays a summary section with KPI cards at the top, followed by milestones grouped by timeframe: Today, This Week, Next Week, This Month, Next Month, and Later. Each milestone shows the member's avatar, name, type icon, date, and the number of years (e.g., “45th Birthday”). A “Send Greeting” button tracks whether a greeting card or message has been sent.

Summary KPIs

| Greetings Pending | Number | Milestones this month where a greeting has not yet been sent. |
| Birthdays Today | Number | Number of people celebrating a birthday today. |
Milestone Fields
| Field | Type | Description |

| Member Avatar | Display | Colour-coded initials avatar with type-specific background colour. |
| Member Name | Text | Name of the person celebrating the milestone. |
| Milestone Type | Icon + Label | Type with icon: Birthday (cake), Wedding Anniversary (rings), Baptism (water), Membership (church), Salvation (cross). |
| Date | Date | The date of the milestone. Shows relative labels: "Today", "Tomorrow", "In X days". |
| Years | Text | Ordinal year count with label (e.g., "45th Birthday", "10th Wedding Anniversary"). |
| Greeting Status | Badge / Button | Shows "Sent" badge if greeting was sent, or a "Send Greeting" button if pending. |
Create Milestone Form

| Milestone Type* | Select | Birthday, Wedding Anniversary, Baptism Anniversary, Membership Anniversary, or Salvation Date. |
| Date* | Date picker | The date of the milestone event. |
| Title* | Text input | Custom title for the milestone. |
| Description | Textarea | Optional additional notes. |
| Recurring | Checkbox | Whether this milestone recurs annually (default for birthdays and anniversaries). |
Actions
Send a Greeting
- Find the milestone in the list
- Click the Send Greeting button
- The greeting is recorded and the button changes to a “Sent” badge
Create a Manual Milestone
- Click + Add Milestone
- Search for and select the member
- Choose the milestone type
- Set the date and title
- Click Create
Generate Milestones (Admin Only)
- Super Admins can trigger a manual milestone scan
- The system scans all member records for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, and other dates
- New milestone entries are created automatically
Timeframe Grouping
Milestones are grouped into sections for easy planning:
- Today — Milestones happening today
- This Week — Within the next 7 days
- Next Week — 8 to 14 days out
- This Month — 15 to 30 days out
- Next Month — 31 to 60 days out
- Later — Beyond 60 days
