Overview
The Check-In Service Picker is the entry point for starting a check-in session. It displays today's scheduled services as selectable cards, and allows you to browse services on different dates or create a custom ad-hoc session. When you select a service, you are taken directly to the Check-In Console for that service instance.
This page enters “deep work” mode — the normal navigation mega menu is hidden and replaced with a focused toolbar showing breadcrumbs back to Gather.
Fields & Controls
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Header Banner | Display | Shows "Start Check-in" title with context text. For today's date it reads "Select today's service to begin"; for other dates it shows the formatted date. |
| Service Cards | Cards | One card per service scheduled for the selected date. Each card shows the day of week, date number, service name, time, campus, and status badge. |
| Status Badge | Badge | "Live" (red pulsing dot) for active services, "Done" (green) for completed services, "Ready" (blue) for scheduled services. |
| Date Picker | Date input | Click "Different date?" to reveal a date picker. Select a date to load services for that day. A "Today" button resets to the current date. |
| Custom Session Accordion | Expandable section | Click "Create a custom session" to expand a form for ad-hoc services. |
| Service Name* | Text input | Required. The name for the custom session (e.g., "Easter Vigil"). |
| Time | Time input | The start time for the custom session. Defaults to 10:00. |
Actions
Select a Scheduled Service
- Services for today are displayed automatically when the page loads
- Click any service card to open the Check-In Console for that service
- Active (live) services are highlighted with an amber border and a “Live” badge
Browse a Different Date
- Click “Different date?” below the service cards
- Select a date using the date picker
- Services for that date will load automatically
- Click “Today” to return to the current date
Create a Custom Session
- Click “+ Create a custom session” at the bottom of the page
- Enter a service name (e.g., “Easter Vigil”)
- Optionally adjust the start time
- Click “Create & Open” to create the ad-hoc service instance and immediately open the Check-In Console
