The Hospital Visits page is a specialized view for managing care items related to hospitalized members. It tracks active hospital cases with urgency levels, visit history, and discharge follow-up. The page separates currently hospitalized members from recently discharged members who may still need pastoral care.

Navigation: Care → Hospital Visits
Overview
The page filters care items to the “hospital” type and displays them in a table layout. Each row shows the member avatar, name, urgency badge, hospital/location, days since admission, last visit date, and assigned staff. A separate section below shows recently discharged members for post-discharge follow-up.
Fields & Controls
Active Hospital Cases
| Field | Type | Description |

| Member Avatar | Display | Colour-coded initials avatar for the hospitalized member. |
| Member Name | Text | Full name of the hospitalized member. |
| Urgency | Badge | Urgency level: Low (green), Medium (amber), High (yellow), Urgent (red). |
| Hospital / Location | Text | Name of the hospital or care facility. |
| Days Since Admission | Number | How many days since the member was admitted (calculated from creation date). |
| Last Visit | Date | Date of the most recent pastoral visit. Formatted as a relative date. |
| Assigned To | Avatar | Staff member responsible for hospital visits. |
Discharged Members

| Member Name | Text | Name of the recently discharged member. |
| Discharge Date | Date | When the member was discharged (item resolved date). |
| Follow-Up Status | Badge | Whether post-discharge follow-up has been completed. |
New Hospital Visit Drawer

| Member* | Search | Search and select the hospitalized member. |
| Hospital Name* | Text input | Name of the hospital or care facility. |
| Room Number | Text input | Room or ward number if known. |
| Urgency* | Select | Urgency level for pastoral response. |
| Notes | Textarea | Initial notes about the hospitalization (diagnosis, family contact, etc.). |
| Assign To | Dropdown | Staff member to assign for hospital visits. |
Actions
Create a Hospital Visit Item
- Click the + New Hospital Visit button
- Search for and select the hospitalized member
- Enter the hospital name and room number
- Set urgency and assign a staff member
- Add initial notes about the situation
- Click Create
Log a Visit
- Click on the hospital care item row to open the Item Detail page
- Use the Visit tab in the compose area
- Enter the visit date, duration, and notes
- Optionally schedule the next visit
- Click Log Visit
Mark as Discharged
- Open the care item for the hospitalized member
- Click Resolve to mark the member as discharged
- The item moves to the Discharged section for post-discharge follow-up
