Navigation: Gather → Children
Overview
The Children's Pickup Service Picker displays today's services that have children checked in. It serves as the entry point for the Children's Pickup Console, where children's ministry volunteers manage room assignments and coordinate parent pickups. The page shows both active and completed services for the current day.
Fields & Controls
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Service Card | Card | One card per service scheduled for today. Shows the service name, date, time, campus, attendance count, and status. |
| Date Block | Display | Day of week and date number on the left side of each card. Hidden on mobile (the entire card is clickable). |
| Service Name | Display | The service pattern name (e.g., "Sunday Morning"). Cleaned of raw date strings. |
| Status Chip | Badge | "Live" (red with pulsing dot) for active services, "Completed" (green) for completed services. |
| Campus | Display | The campus where the service is being held. |
| Time | Display | The scheduled start time of the service. |
| Attendance Count | Display | Total number of people checked in to this service. Shows a dash if no data. |
| Manage Pickup CTA | Link | "Manage Pickup" arrow link on the right side (desktop only). On mobile, the entire card is clickable. |
Actions
Open the Pickup Console
- Click any service card to open the Children's Pickup Console for that service
- Active services are highlighted with an amber left border indicating they are currently in progress
- Completed services can also be opened to review pickup records
Navigate to Check-in (Empty State)
If no services are scheduled for today, an empty state message is displayed with a “Go to Check-in” button that navigates to the Check-In Service Picker.
