GatherService patterns define your church's recurring weekly services. SanctuaryOS uses these patterns to automatically generate service instances (visible on the Calendar) and service windows (used by Steward to attribute online giving). Configure once — Sanctuary handles the rest.

Navigation: Settings → Finance → Services & Schedule
Service patterns are accessed through the Finance settings group because they also control the giving windows for online donation attribution.
Overview
The table displays all configured service patterns with their campus, day, time, window offsets, and active status. Hover over a row to reveal Edit and Deactivate actions.
Fields
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Service Name* | Text | Display name for this service pattern (e.g., "Sunday Morning", "Wednesday Evening", "Youth Night"). |
| Day of Week* | Select | The day this service occurs: Sunday through Saturday. |
| Service Time* | Time | The start time of the service (e.g., 10:00 AM). Displayed in 12-hour format. |
| Campus | Select | Which campus this service belongs to. Select "All Campuses" if the pattern applies church-wide. Only appears if multiple campuses are configured. |
| Window Opens (hrs before)* | Number | How many hours before the service time the giving window opens. Online donations received after this point are attributed to this service. Default: 16 hours. |
| Window Closes (hrs after)* | Number | How many hours after the service time the giving window closes. Default: 12 hours. |
Actions
Create a Service Pattern
- Click + Add Service
- Enter the service name
- Select the day of week and service time
- Optionally assign to a specific campus
- Set the window offsets (defaults are 16 hours before, 12 hours after)
- Click Create Service
Edit a Service Pattern
- Hover over the row and click Edit
- Modify the fields as needed
- Click Update Service
Deactivate a Service Pattern
- Hover over the row and click Deactivate
- Confirm the deactivation
- Existing service instances are not affected; new ones will stop being generated
How Windows Work
The giving window determines which online donations are automatically assigned to a service. For example, with a Sunday 10:00 AM service and the default offsets:
- Window opens: Saturday at 6:00 PM (16 hours before)
- Window closes: Sunday at 10:00 PM (12 hours after)
The info box in the edit modal shows the computed window in plain language to help you verify the configuration.
