StewardOnline giving is powered by Stripe and enables your church to accept donations via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Interac, and recurring gifts. This page covers the Stripe connection setup within Finance settings.

Overview
SanctuaryOS uses Stripe Connect to link your church's Stripe account. Once connected, a branded giving page is automatically generated at your church's subdomain. Online donations flow into SanctuaryOS as transactions, automatically attributed to the correct service window based on when they are received.
Connecting Stripe
- Navigate to Settings → Finance → Online Giving (or Settings → Integrations)
- Click Connect with Stripe
- You will be redirected to Stripe's OAuth flow
- Log in to your existing Stripe account or create a new one
- Authorize SanctuaryOS to access your account
- You will be redirected back to SanctuaryOS with a “Connected” status
Connection Status

| Status | Badge | Shows "Connected" (green) when Stripe is linked, or "Not connected" (gray) when no account is linked. |
| Account ID | Display | The first 8 characters of your Stripe account ID, shown after connection for reference. |
| Dashboard Link | Button | Opens the Stripe Dashboard in a new tab to manage your account, view payouts, and handle disputes. |
Supported Payment Methods
- Credit / Debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, Amex
- Apple Pay — on Safari and iOS devices
- Google Pay — on Chrome and Android devices
- Interac — Canadian debit (where supported by Stripe)
- Recurring donations — weekly, bi-weekly, monthly schedules
Service Window Attribution
Online donations are automatically assigned to a service window based on the service pattern configuration. Each service pattern defines a time window (hours before and after the service time) during which incoming online gifts are attributed to that service.
Disconnecting Stripe
- Click Disconnect next to the Stripe status
- Confirm the disconnection in the dialog
- Online giving will be disabled until a new account is connected
