Plan templates define reusable order of service structures. When a new service instance is created, the default template for that service type is automatically applied, pre-populating the order of service with your standard items.

Navigation: Settings → Gather → Plan Templates
Overview
The templates list shows each template with its name, item count, total duration, service type, and whether it is marked as the default. Click Editto open the inline template editor, or Delete to remove a template.
Template Fields
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Template Name* | Text | Display name for the template (e.g., "Sunday Morning", "Wednesday Evening"). |
| Service Type* | Select | Which service type this template applies to: SUNDAY MORNING, WEDNESDAY, SPECIAL, or OTHER. |
| Set as Default | Checkbox | When checked, this template is auto-applied to new services of the matching type. |
Template Item Fields
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Type* | Select | The item category: Welcome, Worship, Offering, Message, Prayer, Announcements, Response, Closing, or Custom. |
| Label* | Text | The display name for this item (e.g., "Opening Prayer", "Worship Set", "Pastor's Message"). |
| Duration (min)* | Number | Estimated duration in minutes. The total is shown at the bottom of the items list. |
Actions
Create a Template
- Click + New Template
- Enter a template name and select the service type
- Optionally check “Set as default template”
- Add items using + Add Item
- For each item, select a type, enter a label, and set the duration
- Reorder items using the up/down arrow buttons
- Click Create Template
Edit a Template
- Click Edit on the template row
- The inline editor opens with the current items
- Add, remove, reorder, or modify items
- Click Update Template
Delete a Template
- Click Delete on the template row
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
- Existing plans created from this template are not affected
Item Types
Each item type has an associated icon in the editor:
- Welcome — Greeting and opening
- Worship — Song sets and musical worship
- Offering — Giving moment
- Message — Sermon or teaching
- Prayer — Corporate or individual prayer
- Announcements — Church updates
- Response — Altar call or response time
- Closing — Benediction and dismissal
- Custom — Any other item type
